New article: Detecting underground nuclear tests

I am an Earth scientist with broad interests in geology, geophysics and geodynamics. I grew up in the beautiful hills of the English Lake District and have been fortunate to study at Cambridge University in the UK, Harvard and Columbia Universities in the US, and the Australian National University. I try to work on geoscience problems that are important to society, including the response of sea level to melting ice caps and how we are going to locate sufficient metal deposits to support the transition to a low-carbon economy. I love rock climbing in the mountains and am passionate about sharing knowledge of this fascinating planet.

In terms of navigating this site, you’ll find brief overviews of my research interests and collaborators alongside some news items covering interesting events and providing further background on recent publications. Please feel free to get in touch if there’s anything you need. I am always interested to hear from potential students and collaborators and happy to discuss funding opportunities here at the ANU.
